This strikes us as a truly excellent place to waste away sunny
afternoons with a spliff and a book. The long bar contains a pool
table and several seating areas, including a few seats overlooking
the canal and central station. As the sun beats down through the
big open windows background techno and trance wafts through the
speakers at just the right level to allow for conversation. Although
the staff declined to appear in our pictures, you can see that
Route 36 boasts a unique style and atmosphere.
Definitely worth a visit.
