The Kashmir Lounge is located in a nice neighborhood outside the center between Vondel Park and Kinkerstraat. It is a local shop but many tourists have already discovered it and come back again and again. The big attractions to this shop are its laid back atmosphere, full bar and large seating capacity. (70-80 people) The interior of this shop is alive with a very real Indian feeling. The walls are stuccoed and adorned with several large Ganesh sculptures.
The seating is floor cushions with an abundance of pillows and low floor tables. You can definitely chill out here. As you go toward the back of this room there are 2 more seating areas with big pillowed couches and ornate silver chairs. They have a DJ every night from 9pm until closing. Every Sunday the party starts at 4 pm with a DJ and free snacks. The Kashmir lounge has a full alcohol bar as well. On the menu you will find 10 weed varieties, including Bio Skunk and 10 Hash varieties. The favorite here is their Nederhash "Dutch Delight" which won the Dutch Highlife Cup in 2002.
The clientele at the Kashmir Lounge is a diverse as I have ever seen. All ages, all nationalities. A terrific mix of people and a very friendly atmosphere. I always meet new people there. This is their first time in the Cup competition
