Leamington
Peace Festival 2003

14th
- 15th June 2003
The Leamington Peace Festival is a free festival that aims to
promote an understanding of international peace in all its aspects.
It features two entertainment areas, a children's tent, a workshop
tent, and over a hundred stalls representing charities, religious
and philosophical groups, healers, pressure groups, craftspeople,
and fair traders. The festival, which takes place in the Pump
Room Gardens, Leamington Spa, has been running for nearly 25 years,
and takes place on the weekend before the summer solstice.
Holding our second stall at the festival, we increased our size
to 12ft, and sold a few more items including pipes and magic mushrooms.
Another gloriously hot weekend, we shared our area of the park
with the local drunkerds, who occupied a nearby bench for three
days solid, without moving once!
Gary was very suprised to find that the park was an alcohol
free park! It didn't stop him drinking constantly however.
(What £500 fine?!?)
We also managed to smoke out the entiure park one evening, by
attempting to cook Nandos chicken on a barbeque... Ahh what fun.
