LSD
is one of the most commonly used and the most potent psychedelic
or hallucinogenic substance available to man.
L.S.D. (Lyserg-Saeure-Diaethylamid) is often known as acid,
trips, tabs, microdots and many more
It has been around since the late 1930's and became very popular
from the start of the 1960's.
From the pill taking of the 60's and 70's, L.S.D. is now more
commonly found in the form of small squares of paper known
as "blotter paper".
These sheets are soaked are in liquid L.S.D. solution and
then dried out.
The blotter paper is decorated with many different styles
of artwork and funky designs.
L.S.D. blotter paper is still widely used, where as liquid
and liquid sugar cubes have decreased in popularity.
A single hit of blotter paper will set you back anything
from around £2 to £10 pounds, depending where
you buy it from. A single hit of blotter can contain from
around 50 to 150 micrograms of liquid L.S.D.
There is no way to determine how strong or weak the paper
blotters are, except word of mouth or actually knowing the
chemist who is producing it.

Once you have taken a tab it normally takes around 20 to 60
minutes to take effect.
The main effects of L.S.D. last between 6 and 9 hours depending
on how much food you have eaten. Although stronger trips (such
as microdots) can last considerably longer.
As the L.S.D. begins to take hold, a feeling of anticipation
and energy fills the body, your senses are changing and things
are somewhat different.
As the effects become stronger, mental and physical stimulation
will occur, the pupils will dilate, visual experiences may
begin to happen.
Also, confusion and paranoia can start to affect you.
Your emotions are all over the place, joy to anger, happiness
to fear, you might get irritated with your surroundings.
Regular users can deal with changes the mind and body go through,
but as with all halluanogenic drugs this can cause serious
problems with some users.
L.S.D. can precipitate strong changes in an individual's experience
of life and reality. 'Acid flashbacks' are a well known phenomenon,
whereby a person who has ingested L.S.D. at some point in
their life, can experience hallucinations pertaining to their
trip days, weeks or even years after the event.
L.SD. is a powerful psychoactive and depending on ones' mood
and personal experiences at the time of taking it, the trips
can vary from very good to very bad. Physically or psychologically
unsettling events in the days leading up to a trip can result
in serious distress and trauma while tripping.
It's important to prepare before an L.S.D. trip. Get a friend
round who will look after you while you are tripping, play
your favourite music, and (this is important): stay in safe
and familiar surroundings. The basic effect of LSD
is that it will heighten whatever mood you're in. Allowing
yourself to think about bad things, being with people you
do not completely trust or feeling apprehensive about any
aspect of your experience will most likely cause distress.
Always remember that with all drugs there is an element of
risk involved. There is no physical addiction or withdrawal
after use, although some people can become mentally habituated
to L.S.D.
The most prominant danger is that relating to the state of
a person's mind.
If a person is predisposed to phychological difficulties,
L.S.D can be the trigger for problems which otherwise may
have lay dorment, and not manifested themselves.
If you suffer from any mental or emotional difficulties you
should avoid all psychedelic drugs.
L.S.D.
is a Class A drug in the U.K., which makes it illegal to sell,
buy or produce.
This is applies to most countries.
