Ehle is a family company who have been making high quality borosilicate glass bongs for 50 years. All parts are made in house and they go through a temper process to make sure the glass is not stressed.
The joint in always perfectly placed and the weld is always very clean.
The quality control is very high. Not far from Roor.

Weedstar are just bad copies of other company's designs most probably made in china. Having the joints placed like that will make it weak. The downstem ends 2 " from the bottom of the tube and the slit hole diffuser are not very good and are very thin(what is the point of 2 joints of the same size?).Although i do agree about the logo being very tacky.

Yes they cater for a market and have a very wide selection for cheap. But if you a want a well made high quality boro glass bong from people who know what they are doing buy an EHLE.

Absolutely. The Ehle bongs have bridged the gap completely between the likes of Roor and the likes of Weed Star. Weed Stars never claim to be of superior quality though, they're just affordable and offer a starting point into the world of glass.

I think if they were any more expensive than they are then they probably wouldn't get entered for these comparisons, but without a doubt Ehle are fast becoming the new Kings of Glass. I can't see Roor.de giving up without a fight though.

You state at the start in the table that the weedstar has a carb hole, and then later in the carb-hole section that neither bong have them. Being that these are double jointed is a carb-hole really necessary anyway?

I'd also be interested in how much water you can put in the Weedstar bong and how much of that actually filters anything since the diffuser doesn't look like it goes down very far, yet the Ehle downpipe goes right to the very bottom of the water. What about a water capacity area of the competition?

Ah yes, Feltros, this is because I am an idiot. Thank you for pointing that out to me. I have amended the Tale of the Tape.

I wouldn't judge the Weed Star on the length of the diffuser, as that may have been put in there just for the picture. It's an old picture and Weed Star do put proper length downtubes/diffusers with their bongs.

Looks like Weed Star are onto a definite winner then. a £30 bong that can rival the greats.
Thats some impressively quick reply time too, good work Admin :) Glad to see the EDIT team are still there keeping up the excellent customer service since the forum went.

I know weedstar offer a wide range of cheap bongs but in the introduction it states bong fights is about design and construction.
On that basis WS can never beat Ehle.

    Keep it up though.

You are right, of course, though the Round By Round Analysis is there so you can see why which bong scored what. The price has to come into it at some point though as each bong's quality must be compared to its cost, hence why poorer quality bongs can even be compared to better ones such as Ehle.

Appreciate your input though. Let me know if you think the Round Analysis can be improved in any way, or if there are other rounds that should included or excluded.

Hmm you've got everything i can think off. Now just send me them both to test!!!

On a serious note, a vaporizer comparison would be useful as the pros and cons are less clear than bongs.
