How To Use 4.5" Globe Rig

1. How To Operate 4.5" Globe Rig

Start by adding water to your rig. You’ll want to ensure that the slits at the bottom of the stem are fully submerged for the most efficient filtration. It might even prove helpful to take a couple of test drags from the rig to make sure the water level is right. 

Once you have added sufficient water to your rig, secure the banger to the female joint and begin heating it up to your desired temperature. If you are using a torch lighter, make sure to keep it a safe distance away from yourself, and to secure it somewhere safe when you are done. 

Remember, the temperature of the nail should be high enough to vaporize the concentrate, but not so high that it burns the concentrate.

Once you have the nail heated up, allow some time for it to cool, then apply your concentrates to the bowl using a dab tool. As you stir the concentrate around the bowl, gently inhale the smoke at the mouthpiece. Remember not to go too hard if you are an absolute beginner.

2. How To Get Cool Hits From 4.5" Globe Rig

The first thing you want to do to ensure cool hits from your Globe Rig, is to keep it clean. For especially potent hits, your dab rig must be clean. Dab rigs are also easier to clean than water pipes. The more frequently you clean it, the easier it will be to clean.

With a clean pipe, you’ll be able to taste your concentrates without the old concentrates affecting the taste.

While the goal of dabbing is to heat the nail until it is visibly hot, allowing it to cool is a critical step in the process. When the dabbing nail is too hot, the concentrates combust, which creates an extremely unpleasant inhalation process.

Finally, adding some cool, fresh water to your rig will filter your smoke, resulting in a better, cooler hit. You experiment with different temperatures as well. 

3. How To Clean/Maintain 4.5" Globe Rig

There are a few different ways to clean your rig, but many users employ the following method for cleaning glass dab rigs:

If possible and safe to do so, scrape off as much resin as you can by applying a reasonable amount of force with a dab tool, paper clip, or steel wire. 

Put the dab rig in a resealable zipper bag. Fill the bag with enough isopropyl alcohol to submerge the entire piece. 

Add coarse salt into the zipper bag and ensure it comes into contact with their entire rig.

Zip up the bag carefully, and then shake the bag vigorously. For extremely dirty dab rigs, it’s recommended that you let it soak for hours or a day to ensure the resin is completely removed.

If by the end of the process reclaim still remains, feel free to repeat these steps as required. Once the dab rig is cleaned thoroughly, rinse it off with water and wipe it with a soft cloth to dry.
